This mixed media sculpture has a clay form, a bodice fashioned to duplicate an actual blouse I wore when I was little. The drape was so fun to create.  I used stashes of toys, faces and hands made from clay molds and LOTS of found objects. As I assembled the objects on the strands I designed and redesigned each strand as it was important the series worked well in the overall aesthetic. My desired goal was to convey the “freedom” and “joy” I experienced at recess . I loved the idea of getting together with friends, esp being outside- away from sitting behind a desk in the classroom! 33”L, 6.5”depth, 9”w.
