I am an intuitive painter. I make a mark and respond. My paintings take on a form in a dance between myself and the image that evolves. Drawing with graphite and the brush is my starting point. I then respond with color, adding more linear marks with oil pastels, more graphite, and use a dry brush technique as I progress. My work is ethereal and speaks of portals, places and spaces beyond. A Colorao native, Kathy obtained her formal education from The Colorado Institute of Art. Her studies included Interior Design and Graphic Design which allowed her to pursue a career as the owner and primary designer of her own firm for over 20 years. Kathy has been awarded several times in her professional art career including First Place 2016 at the Golden Fine Art Show. Kathy's exhibitions include NCAR Boulder 2017, Artists on Santa Fe 2019. Her collectors inclue Sotheby's Castle Rock, The Four Season's Hotel Nashville, Corium Denver, Century Home Builder Corporate Office, The Cloisters Omaha, Ritz Carlton Residences Vail, Tuscany Plaza DTC, UC Health Cherry Creek, and UC Health Erie.
