Zander was born with a rare genetic mutation causing seizures and bravely underwent a procedure at just 6 months old to control them. Just weeks shy of a year seizure-free, Zander fell ill again. Hospitalized for hydrocephalus, he received a devastating cancer diagnosis: intracranial undifferentiated sarcoma.

Zander’s strength shone through as he took on the disease with 7 months of intense chemotherapy and 7 weeks of proton radiation. After his treatments, he fought Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis and a bone infection in his skull, as well as a recent brain surgery in California. At just 7 years old, he has overcome more than most face in a lifetime.

Today is a momentous occasion – a celebration of Zander’s hard-fought remission and his extraordinary spirit. Because of our family’s journey, we are more committed than ever to supporting the fight against pediatric cancer.
