Zoa creates oil on canvas paintings, watercolors, and collage work. Originally from Illinois, she studied art in college, then married and moved to Boulder with her artist husband, Louis Recchia. They began their art careers showing work simultaneously in Chicago & Colorado before branching out to other parts of the country.
Her work is included in the permanent collections of the Denver Art Museum, the Vance Kirkland Museum, Children's Hospital, and Kaiser Permanente. It has been displayed in the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, D.C. and the U.S. Embassy in Vienna, Austria, as well as numerous other venues across the U.S. and in Europe. She is currently represented by Abend Gallery in Denver, and Chauvet Arts in Nashville, TN.
