Fusing art and science in the well-established tradition of botanical illustration while adding contemporary elements is her artistic style. Vanessa received her Botanical illustration training and certification from the school of Botanical Artists and illustration at the Denver Botanic Gardens in 2012. She has exhibited across Colorado including Denver Botanic Gardens, Redline Contemporary Art Center, CU Museum of Natural History, Center of Southwest Studies-Fort Lewis Salida SteamPlant Event Center, Cherokee Ranch and Castle to name a few.
