I have always felt driven to capture and share the emotional impact of nature through art. In my student years I was drawn to architecture but instead landed a technical, corporate career that took me around the world. While travel opportunities were many, my creative itch went largely unsatisfied. Since retiring to Denver from Canada 15 years ago I’ve been painting continuously - mainly landscapes and travel scenes - and honing my skills at ASLD. My wife and I love to hike, bike, ski & fish the Rockies & desert Southwest. I mainly work in the studio from my own photos but l also love to work 'plein air' and find it an incredible learning experience. I’m happiest combining rocks, mountains, water, and occasionally snow, boats and people, particularly under a dramatic sky.
