Painting has been a part of my life since childhood, growing up in a family of artists and using art as a form of personal expression as my own life has evolved. Currently a Denver resident, my paintings are heavily influenced by my spiritual practice, Hawaiian family heritage, my love of nature and my travels in the U.S. and abroad. I create luminous, textured abstract expressions using vibrant acrylic color and textured gel medium on canvas as well as some mixed media elements. I use my artistic vision to capture the unique energy, beauty or spirit of a particular place, experience or feeling. I believe in the vibrational healing power of color to uplift and inspire, using colors to engage and attract while inviting viewers to develop their own connection and interpretation to each canvas in their own way.
