Sarah has been painting in the watercolor medium for over 20 years.
She currently lives and works in Cherry Hills Village, Colorado.
The principle theme of my artwork is interpreting the power of nature. In my approach to painting I look for lines, shapes, colors and the individual subtleties in my subject matter to bring the subject to life. I spend a lot of time outdoors painting in Plein Air and often I don't need to go further than my own back yard. I can't think of a better way to spend a day, being in nature and having the opportunity to express the wondrous depth of colors and shapes I see around me.
Painting in "Plein Aire" allows me the freedom to work quickly with a loose and more intuitive painting style. I find inspiration in the simplicity of shapes and the beauty of colors in nature. My hopes are to share my interpretation and vision with others.
