Robin's creative pursuits began early and, as a young girl, she peddled her work to supportive neighbors and family friends. She attended the University of Puget Sound and Washington University, earning a BA in Psychology and a Masters of Social Work respectively. Robin practiced psychotherapy before making the decision to stay at home, raising her two children. This opportunity permitted time for getting reacquainted with her art supplies and she rediscovered both her love of art, and the need to create artwork. In 2014, she taught herself to paint. Robin's brightly colored abstracts, and whimsical animals and florals can be found in homes and commercial establishments throughout the country.
Robin resides in Denver, CO with her husband and children, as well as two cavaliers.
“My artwork is both representational and abstract. I paint with my emotions, the memories of moments, thoughts and questions, and generally, my imagination. I enjoy using acrylic and ink, but often incorporate oil bar and pastel. I am most passionate about color, transparency, and evoking positive human emotion in the most lighthearted way. If my degrees and life experiences have taught me anything, it’s not taking myself or my art too seriously—a lifetime is incredibly short and time is fleeting. Let’s enjoy the opportunity.”
