I’m an Iowa farm girl who moved to Arizona for college and stayed there for the next for 25 years. I became a lawyer and practiced law in Arizona. Eventually, I retired from the practice of law and moved to Denver. By the time I moved to Denver, I had been creating art for fun under the supervision and mentorship of a close friend who had been a professional artist. In 2008, she declared that my art was good enough to sell. I had my doubts but gave it a shot at her insistence via the Art Students League of Denver’s annual Summer Art Market. To my rather complete surprise, I sold 13 pieces. I was launched.
