Artist: Leslie Lefferdink

Leslie Lefferdink earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Printmaking from Colorado State University in 1981. Following a distinguished 31-year career at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, she retired early to devote herself fully to her artistic practice. Lefferdink has reengaged her long-standing passion for printmaking, focusing primarily on monotypes and the creation of collages derived from them. Her work is represented in private collections, and her monoprint series "Breath Is Life" is on permanent display in the pediatric clinic at National Jewish Health. As a contemporary artist, Lefferdink explores themes of emotion, memory, and personal experience, translating internal reflections into visual form. Her compositions often embody deeply personal narratives such as the enduring influence of her father or the quiet intimacy of shared moments. She invites viewers to engage with her work both for its aesthetic presence and its underlying emotional resonance. Lefferdink serves on the board of the Women’s Caucus for Art, Colorado Chapter, where she advocates for women artists and works to amplify their creative voices within the larger artistic community.
