Kelly Austin Rolo is a contemporary painter and printmaker whose primary focus is working in encaustic and mixed media. She holds a BFA from Syracuse University and maintains a studio and teaching practice in Denver, Colorado.
She is an intuitive artist and her work can be described as abstract exploration of the natural world and man-made landscapes and cityscapes.
Austin Rolo has exhibited at the Albuquerque Museum, Fort Collins Museum of Art and The Colorado Women’s Art Center and Museum, Niza Knoll Gallery, Denver, CO, Adam Peck Gallery Provincetown, MA, among others. She is a recipient of grants from the International Encaustic Artists, and is represented by https://nkollectiv.com/. Her work appears in collections throughout the United States, Canada and Europe.
Austin Rolo is an Artist Instructor for R&F Handmade Paints, the premier manufacturer of two distinct paint lines: classic wax-based encaustic paint and linseed oil-based Pigment Sticks. She has taught workshops at the Art Students League, Denver, Art Gym, Denver and at her studio in the 910Arts Building in the Santa Fe Arts District of Denver.
