My artistic journey began with the inspiration of a teacher. Under her passionate instruction I learned to see deeper than the object I was depicting. Hiding under the surface a complex assortment of shapes, patterns, and textures lie waiting to emerge. It is the artists decision to pick the elements that give life to each work. Throughout the years Kathy has been an active participant in various invitational fundraising events. Some of these events include Hospice of Denver Mask Project, Channel Six Auction, Sarah Arndt Gale Memorial Fund Art Sale, and seven wonderful opportunities to donate to The Artma Benefit Event. Several other works have been featured in juried exhibitions including , The All Colorado Show , Joan R. Duncan Exhibit, and the Greenwood Village Residence Show. Currently, Kathy spends time visiting grandchildren and painting in her studio.
