My work is inspired by nature, architecture, views from above the earth and by many artists including Wayne Thiebaud, Richard Diebenkorn, Pamela Caughy and Dan Tirels. I studied Drawing, Painting and Printmaking at The University of Kansas, Lawrence and The University of Colorado, Boulder. Painting improvisationally without many preconceived ideas about how a painting must look is most often the way I work. Drawing and mixed media collage have become ways to begin, to loosen up and to move beyond blocks.
