Jean works with paper-clay using the slab-roller to begin creating her sculptures firing in the mid-range of Cone 5. She has been a full-time artist since the mid 80’s and has been working mainly with clay since 1990. Jean is a graduate of Milton College, WI, with a BA in Art and Elementary Education, and has been an Artist-in-Residence at East High, The Logan School and has taught at the summer clay camp at the MCAA, all in Denver, CO. Jean is a member of Dart Gallery in the ADSF. Her emphasis is on texture, color, size and position in creating small intimate pieces as well as rambling, rolling tumbling wall-filling statements.
