Jean is an artist that has experimented with various mediums, but for the last ten years she has worked in fiber. She uses fiber, drawing with an air pen, paint, fabric, stitching, and collage to create unique representational pieces that are impressionistic and painterly.
She lives in a LoDo high rise condo where she has her studio. She travels extensively and explores relationships between culture, religion, people, and geography through her art.
Her work has been shown in numerous galleries and museums throughout the United States. She has published articles and been featured in Daria magazine. She currently teaches at the Art Students League Denver.
Jean has received many awards including 3rd Place Award, “Unprecedented”, a national juried exhibit, the Collectors Choice Award at Visions Museum, San Diego, CA, 2nd Place Award, at a juried exhibit, ASLD, and an Honorable Mention, America’s Parks Exhibit. Jean’s Art Education is Cincinnati Museum of Art, De Cordova Museum, Lincoln, MA, Colorado Springs Fine Art Center, Art League of Houston, and Student Art League of Denver.
