JC Buck is a B&W artist-photographer based in Denver, Colorado. In early 2022, JC expanded into portraiture after a decade in the industry specializing in architecture and interior design photography and managing his fine art gallery business. Following the works of fashion and portrait photographer masters like George Hurrell, Richard Avedon, Herb Ritts, and Irving Penn, JC begins with a blank canvas, working solely in the studio with his subjects against black, grey, and white backdrops. His work is inspired by geometry, creating lines and shapes with the human form and clothing. With color removed to emphasize the essential, JC works with modified equipment that strictly shoots in monochrome.
