What do you get when you mix gold, sterling silver, bronze and semi-precious stones with a twist of elegance, a touch of edge and a hint of imperfection? CLP Jewelry.
A love of rustic, well-worn and well-loved pieces started back in Norman, Oklahoma, where designer Christy Lea Payne spent many days tinkering in her dad’s barn.
After college and several colorful and vibrant years designing against the Santa Fe landscape, Christy and her husband Zach moved to Colorful Colorado, where her childhood passion blossomed into a successful and thriving jewelry design business.
Inspired by her travels, the colors and textures of everyday life, and life’s perfect imperfections, Christy has honed her design skills to create rustic, well-worn designs in all shapes and colors. Her all female metalsmith crew work with gold, sterling silver, bronze and semi-precious gemstones. Christy’s designs are the perfect combination of rustic and elegant. Each piece screams sophisticated simplicity, but are even more enchanting when worn layered together.
No two pieces are exactly the same. And that is by design. “I love to find the special imperfections in the pieces I design which makes each piece unique. So few things in life are perfect,” says Christy.
When she is not busy designing, you can find Christy traveling and soaking up everything that Colorado has to offer with Zach and her fur babies, Emma and Gypsy.
