I've always maintained a sense of wonder and curiosity about life. My work is a mixture of whimsy, abstraction, with a dash of expressive realism. The paintings cross over from what is real and what is imagined or perhaps hidden. Using oils, acrylics, printmaking and mixed media, I add layers of glazing, embellishing and intuitive choices to bring out the truth of the piece. After completing a degree in Art and Secondary Education in Colorado, I pursued a graduate degree at The School of The Art Institute of Chicago. I have been a resident painter at The Anderson Ranch in Snowmass, and recently traveled to Ireland, working at The Ballinglen Arts Center in County Mayo. My work is currently on display at D'ART Gallery, 900 SantaFe Drive in Denver.
